Breyani Masala is all you need to make a savory breyani rice dish with chicken, lamb, fish, or vegetables. This aromatic spice blend is made with slightly roasted whole spices that adds rich flavor and aroma to any breyani dish.

Chicken Breyani

1 1/2 lb   Chicken
4 cup      Basmati Rice
1/4 cup  Oil
1              Onion, sliced
4             Tomatoes, diced
1 tsp       Ginger & Garlic paste
2 Tbs      Spiced Breyani Masala
1 tsp       Spiced Garam Masala
TT           Salt
4              Bay Leaves
4              Star anise
2              Cinnamon Sticks
2 Tbs      Fennel seeds
1 bch      Coriander leaves, garnish

  1. Prepare rice according to package, but cut time in half,
  2. Cut the chicken into medium cube size pieces and rinse..
  3. Marinate chicken with a teaspoon of ginger & garlic paste, salt, Spiced Breyani Masala, and Spiced Garam Masala for about 1 hour.
  4. Heat oil in pot, then fry onions until translucent.
  5. Then braise 2 tablespoon of Breyani Masala, 4 star anise, 2 cinnamon sticks, 2 tablespoon fennel seeds, and 4 bay leaves,
  6. Then add tomatoes and marinated chicken to pot and cook for approximately 20 minutes.
  7. Add rice, cook for another 20 minutes.
  8. Simmer on low until water has evaporated or reduced.
Mutton breyani can be made the same way!
